Here is a transcript of the Today Tonight story "Diet Challenge" where I am assisting the participants on
their journey to lose weight and judging the winner based on the percentage of weight and body fat lost.

There's a great deal of excitement on Diet Street, as we put the top five diets on the market
to the test, to see which ones get the best results.
Side by side, door to door, kilo for kilo, each of the girls has been assigned a diet they
must follow for the next eight weeks.

Diet street plan
- Danielle is hoping to lose weight for her upcoming 40th birthday party. She has
been assigned the Dukan diet.
- Naomi wants to lose 10 kilos, and is on the Lite and Easy.
- Krissi hopes Jenny Craig may be the answer to her weight-loss prayers.
- Marion will be on the Kick Start Diet.
- Weight Watchers will guide Debbie on her weight-loss journey.
“I think its something that should be sustainable, something they can do in the long
term,” said personal trainer and nutritionist, Nathan Maurice of Oz Boot Camp.
Nathan will monitor the ladies’ progress, and providing health and nutritional advice on
their journey. Diet Street weight-in
- The leader of the pack is Krissi at 89.2 kilograms.
- Marion came in at 76.6 kilograms and wants to get down to 62 kilograms.
- Danielle is at 115 kilograms, and doesn’t have a goal weight.
- Naomi, who would like to be down around 90 kilograms came in at 104 kg.
- Debbie, who has a cruise coming up in November, came in at 106 kilograms, and would
like to be 75 kilograms.
“I reckon they can do it. All these diets have been proven to work. All they need to do
is stick to it religiously,” Nathan said.
Nathan will judge the winner based on the percentage of fat the girls lose in relation
to their starting body weight.
“They’ve got the enthusiasm, and they’ve got the motivation to do it. They'll do well
out of this,” he said. The residents of Diet Street promise the
soon-to-be-shrinking-sisterhood will keep proceedings civil.
