Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you train people?
Nathan conducts outdoor PT training in Pyrmont and the inner city suburbs of Sydney
such as but not limited to Darling Harbour, Ultimo, Rushcutters Bay, Darling Point, Balmain,
Drummoyne, Leichhardt, Lilyfield, Chatswood and many other suburbs in the Eastern, Inner western and
North Shore suburbs of Sydney. I also have access to a state of the art PT studio in Pyrmont if you prefer to
train indoors.
How much does it cost for a personal training session?
Prices vary subject to amount of training required per week and training package purchased.
Typically a person who commits to a 12 week training program 2 sessions a week would be around $80 per hour.
What experience does the trainer have?
Nathan Maurice has been a registered fitness professional since 2006 and in and around
gyms for over 25 years. I continue to study varying martial art styles, run on a regular basis and
I worked in commercial gyms such as Fitness First. I have completed strength and conditioning, boxing
coach and sports power development courses.
What do you know about weight loss?
After an accident in 2004 which left me unable to walk properly for 6 months I found myself
weighing in at 103KG, over 20kg heavier than i was before the accident. I then lost 30 KG in 30
weeks using a healthy approach to nutrition and exercise.
Will you help me with my nutrition?
Although I am not a registered nutritionist I can give you advice and a nutrition plan to
look over and use as guidelines for your own nutrition plan. It has worked for all of my clientele, with some
clients losing 20KG in as little as 20 weeks.
I need to improve my posture can you help me?
Having studied internal martial art for 9 years under the guidance of a internal kung fu master I learned a lot
about movement, posture and the eastern approach to health and wellness. I found that I am able to see movement
and postural issues in people and help them do the work necessary to fix it.
Nathan has also completed a Postural Assessment Exercise Prescription course and a
Kettlebell Instructors Course, both of which have become the backbone of my functional movement
assessment tools.
How soon will I see results?
Results depend on the commitment of the individual trainee to stick to the exercise program
and diet guidelines. The most important key to achieving results is to be consistent.
If you really are in a hurry to lose weight and change shape then a good place to start
is the 60 Day challenge which gives the trainee a clear goal and path to follow and has
delivered results in an 8-9 week time frame consistently.
Does fat turn into muscle?
NO!! You Lose fat through diet and energy expenditure, and can gain muscle simultaneously by
doing a resistance / weights program.
